Ray Charles sings "America The Beautiful" at the World Series
The weeks after 9/11 the American airwaves were filled with patriotic songs. Ray's America The Beautiful got tremendous airplay.
On 28 October 2001 he performed the song during game 2 of the World Series, at Bank One Ballpark in Phoenix, where the Arizona Diamondbacks played against the New York Yankees.
